My Offerings

  • Working with young people is one of my great joys. I work with young people from all backgrounds who are dealing with a wide range of issues. Trauma, abuse, family transitions, and behavioral or relational challenges are all areas I can help you work through. I strive to gain your trust and respect to facilitate a space in which you can grow and heal.

  • Families are a complex and wonderful gift. My work with families aims to provide a safe and respectful space that ensures everyone is heard and valued. As a trained Family Systems Therapist, I will pay close attention to family dynamics, we can identify patterns of behavior that may be at the root of family challenges.

  • Having an emotionally immature or high-conflict person in your life can have long-lasting and devastating effects. Emotionally immature and high-conflict people oftentimes lack empathy and use manipulation and emotional blackmail to get their needs met.

These behaviors have serious consequences on the people around the emotionally immature/high-conflict individual. Low self-esteem, difficulty trusting yourself and others, having a hard time with boundaries (either too soft or too firm), and feeling unsure of yourself are just some of the long-term effects from emotional and narcissistic abuse.

Emotional/Narcissistic abuse can lead to anxiety, depression, and deep trauma. For many people, enduring emotional/Narcissistic abuse can also lead to long-term physical health problems and chronic illness.

Healing the wounds from Emotional/Narcissistic abuse can have a profound impact on your life. Learning to set healthy boundaries, express needs and feelings, understanding personal patterns that lead to repeated emotionally immature/high-conflict people in your life, and grieving the relationships you needed but did not have are all vital processes in tending to wounds so that you can step into the life you want to live.

  • Living with a chronic illness can be isolating, scary, anxiety-provoking, and exhausting. I work with individuals who live with chronic illnesses, as well as individuals who care for others with chronic illness or families who have people with chronic illness in their family system. Easing the emotional and physical stress of living with a chronic illness can have a huge benefit to everyone.

  • I have extensive experience in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and have supported clients on their journey through finding and affirming their gender identity. I also work with families to navigate the transition of individual’s gender identity and connect family members with resources to process their loved one’s identity.

  • I have years of experience in working with autistic children and adults, people with ADHD, and people with Sensory Processing Disorders. I reject the idea that clinicians should help neurodivergent people silence their authenticity in order to “fit in” to a neurotypical world. I provide clients with skills to manage intense emotions, find ways of self-soothing, and manage triggers to develop independent, rewarding lives. I am certified in AutPlay Therapy for autistic teens.

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a way of addressing symptoms of stress and trauma through our bodies and our nervous systems. From an SE perspective, trauma accumulates in our nervous systems, and that dysregulation disrupts our life.

SE is a body-oriented therapeutic approach to healing trauma and stress. It uses physiology, psychology, biology, indigenous healing practices, neuroscience, and biophysics to approach trauma and stress from the nervous system.

SE is used to help resolve PTSD and developmental attachment trauma. There is a growing amount of scientific research that shows that SE has a positive impact on people with trauma and stress.

Please find more information about SE and the work of Dr. Peter A. Levine here.

  • I have been practicing mindfulness since 2012 and have found the practice to have profound impacts on mindset, perception, and action. The benefits of mindfulness include reduction in anxiety, stress, and levels of depression. Both cognitive therapy and mindfulness practices have also been shown to improve overall mood and give people a greater ability to handle life’s challenges. I am provisionally certified in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) through the University of California San Diego’s Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute and use MBCT and Mindful Self-Compassion in my work.

  • A growing amount of research suggests that spending time in nature is linked to mental health benefits, including reducing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD symptoms, as well as reducing stress. Spending time in nature also has been shown to help with reduced pain and aid in medical recovery. I offer Walk and Talk Therapy sessions to clients in the West Georgia area. Please visit the Walk and Talk Therapy page for more information.

I offer individual sessions for 60 minutes. I offer family sessions for 60 minutes or 90 minutes. 60 minute sessions are offered on a sliding scale of $100 - $150 per session, and 90 minute sessions are offered on a sliding scale of $150 - $200 per session. I am also a part of Open Path Collective. I accept payments via debit, credit, or HSA/FSA cards.
